Child Cardiology Associates is available to see your children with heart disease at Pediatrics@Nite on Mondays and Thursdays. Our services include:

Electrophysiology Services
Comprehensive evaluation of pediatric electrocardiograms, both in the office and by facsimile from hospitals and other pediatricians' offices.

Holter Monitoring
Holter monitoring provides 24-hour recordings of cardiac activity to detect and plan treatment of arrhythmia abnormalities.

Event Monitoring
Provides evaluation of arrhythmia abnormalities over a 30-day period of time. This testing allows for assessment of heart rhythm during symptomatic periods. Data from the recorder is sent by telephone to our office in Virginia, where our physicians interpret the recording.

Echocardiography
One of the most useful tools for our cardiologists is the use of echocardiography, or sound wave pictures of the heart. This allows the physician to examine structures of the heart and identify any abnormalities. We provide two dimensional, M-mode, color flow and spectral Doppler ultrasound as part of this service.

Fetal/Prenatal Echocardiography
This test allows the cardiologist to examine any major structural abnormalities and arrhythmias that may be present in utero. In order to obtain the best study, this test should be performed after the 18th week of pregnancy.
